This is an advanced unit in invertebrate diversity and relationships and comprises three modules. The first module establishes the relationships between the 30+ phyla and the remaining two comprise projects that investigate the function of invertebrates in an ecological setting. Teaching is by lectures/workshops, practical classes, field work and online learning. The learning integrates across all facets of the teaching. The assessment elucidates not only the content learned but also understanding of the ecological and systematic principles involved.
