This unit covers a diversity of advanced topics in conservation genetics, including—population structuring of threatened taxa; provenance in restoration ecology; extinction processes; DNA barcoding uses and consequences—among others. The unit provides a background appropriate for future research in conservation biology, molecular ecology, evolutionary biology, genetics, and marine, plant or animal biology.
