In this unit students work with a faculty member on a special topic project. Weekly sessions in the form of a two-hour tutorial are held with the students where specified readings are discussed. Additionally, students undertake directed research, typically in the form of a review of literature, and submit a research paper. The content is determined in consultation with the course coordinator and in relation to perceived areas of interest for the subsequent thesis. Students also develop expertise related to the student's research. -- Course Website
