This unit is part of the pathway course for Indigenous students seeking access to postgraduate health professional science courses. <br/><br/>The unit introduces students to health science research, evidence-based practice, the methods and approaches involved in carrying out research, and interpreting research. In addition to lectures and tutorials students work through the practical demands of undertaking a research project of their own. In consultation with the unit coordinator, students choose a topic of interest related to material covered in the other units of the Advanced Diploma in Medical and Aboriginal Health Sciences.
