Trauma & Environmental Emergencies will build on the knowledge obtained in the foundational science (ANAT1100, BIOM1100, PATH1000, PCOL2000) and clinical skills (PMDC2100) courses, and will be supported by concurrent learning in Paramedic Clinical Skills 2 (PMDC2200) and Paramedic Clinical Placement 2 (PMDC2203). Students will gain specific knowledge of common traumatic and environmental emergencies encountered by paramedics. Teaching will include the presentation, history, risk factors & clinical management of each of these emergencies.
