The Paramedic Clinical Skills 1 course has three primary themes; communication skills, history-taking and physical examination, and procedural skills. Throughout the semester students will be given the opportunity to develop these skills on each other and in a simulated environment. This course is complemented by concurrent studies in cardiovascular and respiratory conditions and emergencies, allowing students to begin to effectively integrate history taking, physical examination, communication and procedural skills into the patient management cycle.
