Not offered in 2012<br/>This course introduces Cognitive Linguistic approaches to semantics and syntax and explores their ability to relate linguistic form, meaning and conceptualisation. Students will learn Construction Grammar strategies for analysing grammatical form and meaning, and use Cognitive Semantic theories and formalisms to examine how language evokes conceptual structures.<br/>This course may be cancelled if there are fewer than 20 enrolments. -- Course Website
