This is a course for students beginning the study of Japanese, who wish to take one course per semester for the first 2 years. The course introduces students to the Japanese writing system and fundamental structural aspects of the language. Students develop basic conversation skills in Japanese while developing an understanding of how Japanese culture is reflected in language. -- Course Website
