Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology for Pharmacy

Students will be introduced to the structural features of major tissues and organs as a basis to an understanding of their physiological function. Systems to be examined include central, peripheral and sensory nervous sytems, structure and function of skin, pulmonary structure and function, the circulation and lymphatics, metabolism and gastrointestinal function, renal maintanence of the internal environment and reproduction. The material covered is designed to be a foundation to more advanced learning in later years and to provide a sound basis for an understanding of the pharmacology of medicinal drugs. -- Course Website
