Subject Area: Asian Studies<br/>This course can also be studied in the following specialisations: History<br/><br/>This is a specialized course that focuses on modern Philippine history by focusing on the themes that have sparked rigorous scholarly debates in the last twenty years. Topics discussed include: colonialism, gender, politics, migration and the diaspora, representations, identity and mentalities, popular culture and 'nation'.
