The issue of representation is central to the development and extension of Architectural Computing. This studio draws on the histories and theories of architectural representation and recasts them with the ‘lens’ of computation. Students will draw from precedents to systematically re-present significant moments in architectural history. Within this design driven reengagement they will expand zones of similarity and difference (between before and after the recasting) and, ultimately, critique the contribution computation might make to significant moments in architectures future. The course is lab/studio based and supplemented by a series of lectures. Learning and assessment is based on... -- Course Website
