This subject examines some of the key issues concerning organisational learning and their implications for managing the learning organisation. For example, students will explore whether organisational learning is primarily an individual or collective phenomenon and analyse the management processes involved in transforming individual learning into collective behaviour. They will investigate the characteristics and benefits of the learning organisation, and critique some of the reasons that are put forward to justify it.
