This subject provides an alternative view of the globalised workplace. It attempts to identify and explain the different experiences of workers around the world by examining workplace conflict and analysing how employment systems have evolved and how different nations deal with the same problems. Countries that may be studied include the United States, Britain, Sweden, Germany, Japan and Hong Kong. Issues that may be considered include refugees, outworking, child labour and trade union decline. -- Course Website
