This subject aims to provide students with an understanding of the impact of the invasion of trees by pests and other parasitic organisms in urban environments. Students will gain an understanding of the identification of common pest and disease species; understand the symptoms displayed and how to manage the pests and diseases of trees. They will gain an understanding of integrated pest control concepts, pest control measures and the fate of chemicals in the environment and integrated pest management. The subject will be delivered through attendance at a six day intensive workshop. -- Course Website
