This is an integrated unit based on two themes of the medical radiations science curriculum. Theme 1 - continues the study of the principles and applications of medical radiations in the assessment and treatment of disease and injury. This theme builds on the Medical Radiations Science 2 unit and introduces more clinical applications. The unit will cover protocols and operating procedures, radiation safety, occupational health and safety, infection control, documentation procedures, sectional anatomy and pathophysiology. Theme 2 - is a five week clinical placement that will allow students to develop further clinical and professional skills to intermediate beginner level. -- Course Website
