This unit provides a detailed examination of the role played by international institutions and organisations in the process of global governance. The unit focuses on the intergovernmental sector (including regional institutions), the non-governmental sector and the multinational corporate sector. The unit is informed by the research traditions of international relations, international law, international political economy, global governance, global civil society studies, and international business. In examining the process of global governance the unit will cover the thematic areas of global trade and finance, global peace and security, human rights and the environment. -- Course Website
