Hydrology deals with the properties, distribution and effects of water on the Earth and especially the movement of water in relation to land. The unit provides students with a broad introduction to the major topics in hydrology, and a strong appreciation of the processes governing movement and storage of water across a land surface. A primary goal is to examine those processes that affect groundwater recharge and discharge.
