This unit explores and critiques learning theories and pedagogical and curriculum practices relevant to the community based emergency health context. Concepts, models and theories in educational planning and management of change will be addressed, with a focus on changes in education in the workplace. Students will develop a coherent theory of workplace-based learning relevant to their own professional context and be able to critically appraise competing education approaches. Students are expected to reflect on professional practices in their own workplaces, and critically review how knowledge, skills and attitudes are selected, developed and organised within their own professional context. -- Course Website
