This unit will explore the multiple intersections and integration of Human Rights Law and Intellectual Property Law. The Human Rights/Intellectual property interface also involves, among other things, the intersection between international law and domestic (principally Australian) law. In particular, the unit will focus on the substantive, procedural, and institutional intersection between Human Rights and Intellectual Property both in international law contexts (such as Chapter 17 of the Australia-United States Free Trade Agreement, WIPO and the WTO), and in Australian domestic law. -- Course Website
