Introduction to engineering, the role of engineers and the engineering decision-making process. The Unit covers the economic, environmental, social and ethical aspects of engineering. Particular aspects relate to the systems approach to engineering problems; sustainable development and the environment; lifecycle concepts, safety, management, quality, economic analysis; engineering ethics, report writing, oral presentations, drawing and teamwork. -- Course Website
