This unit aims to build on the understanding developed in EDF4893 Social education in the secondary years A, to further prepare students to become effective and knowledgeable social education teachers. Students will be able to critically explore different approaches to teaching social education in Years 7 to 12. The unit will involve an examination of various strategies, resources, activities and forms of assessment for teaching different areas of the social education curriculum. Students will also critically examine national curriculum documents and explore examples of social education internationally, to prepare them to be teachers in other global contexts. -- Course Website
