This unit provides students with the opportunity to engage with and explore current trends, issues and controversies in sport and outdoor recreation. This includes: how humans relate to and manage sport and outdoor recreational environments; sport and outdoor recreation participation demographics and trends; sport and outdoor recreation policy; issues of sustainability, social justice and inclusion; contested histories and the development of professional ethics and standards in sport and outdoor recreation. Students engage with these topics through a team-based problem solving and/or action research approach. -- Course Website
