The unit builds on the focus on learning and education inquiry skills in EDF1303 Learning and educational inquiry 1. This unit introduces contemporary approaches to teaching and ways to investigate such approaches. It involves an examination of teaching relationships which includes modes of communication, teaching models and strategies and the management or organisation of learning situations. Again, from the perspective of broader educational settings (school, community, home) learning and assessment tasks will require students to analyse and reflect on an educational issue and consider the perspectives presented in the unit when analysing a teaching situation.
