This unit considers the quality and quantity aspects of water resources management. Tools and techniques appropriate for design and analysis of water resource systems are introduced including rainfall/runoff modelling, yield analysis, characterisation of flow regimes, design of environmental flows and water reuse systems. The basic principles of water quality modelling will be addressed and developed. Water quality management issues to be addressed include the assessment of water quality in various watercourses, such as rivers and lakes, natural systems for water pollution control and pollutant transformations in aqueous environments. -- Course Website
