Public health nutrition addresses the prevention and management of diseases at a population level. This unit will cover the theoretical underpinnings of public health, health promotion and health education and focus on strategies that address the major nutrition related diseases and issues affecting the Australian population. The theories of program planning will be used to inform the basis of planning, implementing and evaluating public health nutrition interventions across a continuum of strategies and these strategies critiqued using the literature and policy analysis and evaluative frameworks. -- Course Website
