The student needs to understand his or her role within a multi-disciplinary team working with dysfunctional families. The students will learn how to evaluate family functioning through the 'Person-in-Environment Classification System' and the Family and Community Functioning Model. Inadequate family boundaries cause a decrease in the security of children and for social ills such as child abuse to occur. The student will be oriented to the role of the child care worker in this problem. -- Course Website
