This subject explores the key questions and debates in contemporary literary research. Students will be introduced to the concerns, methodologies, controversies and debates in selected aspects of the discipline. They will they consider the implications of these scholarly arguments for the study of specific literary texts. Issues to consider will include those of authorship, identity/subjectivity, theoretical interventions, representation and literary nationalisms. -- Course Website
