This unit provides a detailed exploration of the main sub-editing, editing and design practices for print and online media. It explores a range of genres, styles and modes of address in contemporary usage for newspapers, magazines, blogs and websites. It includes the usage of sound, still and moving images. It critically considers the implications for journalists of different modes of audience and demographic engagement.
