The Language and Culture component of this unit is designed to help students secure knowledge of French syntax through the study of grammar and translation from English to French. It aims to develop their comprehension skills and the capacity to express ideas in both oral and written French, through a range of class activities in which student production is modeled on authentic contemporary documents, both spoken and written. In the Specialized Culture component, students will explore an aspect of French culture and society and develop competence appropriate to their year level in the theory, practices and discourses involved in analysis of it. -- Course Website
