The unit aims to introduce students to the nature of study and enquiry in the Arts faculty through a study of Australia. It gives students opportunities to learn, discuss, practice and receive feedback on academic skills of reading, writing, communicating ideas in discussion, critique and analysis, academic argument, research and referencing and acquire library skills while at the same time learning about contemporary Australia.
