The unit offers students an opportunity to undertake an extended supervised research project in communications or the media associated with an industry partner. Prior to the start of semester students are responsible for identifying and contacting a suitable industry partner and arranging the placement as well as seeking approval from the course co-ordinator. Students then formulate their research topic in consultation with their appointed supervisor and the industry partner. Students should work with the industry partner over a four to five week period. Students are not permitted to undertake the project in their usual place of work. -- Course Website
