The unit will provide opportunities for students to examine Bangladesh's applied disaster response and recovery approaches. It will deepen student understanding and knowledge of the practical aspects of disaster frameworks. The focus will on both the successes and challenges of disaster theory and strategy at the implementation level. The trip will include field visits to sites and projects on the following topics: disaster risk reduction, community adaptation to climate change, food security, livelihoods and microcredit. The nexus between recovery and development and preparedness will also be addressed during the trip. -- Course Website
