This is an exciting unit that focuses on the conduct of evaluations for the purposes of policy and planning. Developing the foundations laid in SSC100 and SOC224, emphasis is placed on vocational skills, research design, report writing and the conduct of research in the workplace. The unit links first and second year foundations to third year, the advanced research tasks covered in third year, and develops both generic and specific social science research skills required by graduates. -- Course Website
