This unit is aimed at developing students' advanced oral communication and interpreting skills, including the appropriate use of honorifics. It builds on students' prior knowledge to develop higher level communication skills in a variety of more complex situations ? such as negotiations between provider/client ? and also focuses on common intercultural communication issues present in more formal situations and those which affect interpreting. Basic training in interpreting is provided through a variety of interactive exercises. -- Course Website
