This unit is an advanced unit on databases, emphasising database foundations and assistance for large enterprise information systems. It focuses on the support, technologies and tools that database management systems (DBMSs) provide to facilitate enterprise and business-to-business application development and integration. This unit takes direct advantage of students' prior knowledge of database programming and application development, and extends that knowledge through the study of advanced features of DBMSs in support of development and integration of enterprise applications.
