Students in this unit are required to individually research a particular topic under the guidance of a staff member in the French Studies programme. They have to produce a carefully articulated research paper of 6000 words in French, or 8000 words in English. The research topic must be approved by the unit convenor, who also determines the most appropriate supervisor for the project. Topics can be chosen amongst most fields of French culture, including: language, literature, history, politics, art, education, sport, and social issues. -- Course Website
