This unit builds on the GIS skills introduced in ENV808 and includes more advanced concepts in remote sensing and its applications and practical techniques. Topics include: analysis of landscape and environmental variables; use of remotely sensed data, including both optical and radar data, to derive information on land cover; geostatistics; and a range of case studies including environmental management and monitoring. Practical sessions include techniques for spatial data collection and management, analysis, and terrain products generation. -- Course Website
