This unit offers an introduction to theory and research in student learning, university teaching and the development of critical reflection. It aims to give participants an overview and understanding of learning and teaching as a sound foundation for their own practice. Content, readings and activities will primarily focus on the relationships between how students learn and how teachers teach and the effects these have on the quality of student learning outcomes. In doing so we will explore students' conceptions of teaching and learning, models for critical reflection and scholarship, theories of learning and teaching, and learning environments. -- Course Website
