This unit provides an overview of legislative, regulatory and policy frameworks for the governance of Australian higher education, and the impact of these on organisation and structure at both sectoral and institutional levels. It examines global, national and institutional diversity in higher education structures and functions, with regard to social, cultural and political contexts. The emphasis is on extending students' understanding of and theorising about issues for leaders and managers across the higher education sector. -- Course Website
