This unit explores recent developments in educational psychology and child development and examines links to teaching and learning and other relevant workplace learning contexts. It begins with an analysis of recent topical debates including the development of motivation and engagement in students, student interactions and the emergence of cyber bullying, and pedagogical debates surrounding applications of student-centred or direct instruction pedagogies.
