This unit has three aims:<br/> <br/>1. The unit concentrates on further advancing the students' proficiency in Diversified and Gonstead manual techniques. It covers indications and contraindications to manipulations and includes the clinical applications of these techniques.<br/> <br/>2. The unit introduces students to the subject of electrophysical therapy: biophysical principles, dosimetry, indications for use, contraindications for use, precautions, dangers and risks associated with use. A multidisciplinary and evidence-based approach to rehabilitation including functional restoration, pain and psychological management will be emphasised.<br/> <br/>3.
