This unit examines at an advanced level the archaeological evidence from Ancient Egypt, its major sites and the material culture of life and death. In particular, it provides an introduction to the methods of archaeological excavation, field work and to a range of modern scientific analyses.<br/> <br/>A large part of the unit makes use of original Ancient Egyptian artefacts in the Museum of Ancient Cultures for practical study. -- Course Website
