This unit enables students to gain an understanding of the implications and impacts of the web revolution based on the basic principles of management information systems. The primary objective of this unit is to understand the concept of the digital economy, the impact business pressures play on the organisation and their responses and adaptations to these pressures and the role technology plays both inside and outside the organisation in the context of globalisation.
