This unit introduces students to information systems audit and assurance. An information systems (IS) audit is part of the overall audit process and is important for good corporate governance. This unit further develops an understanding of internal and operational controls as well as knowledge of the organisation as it relates to IS audit and assurance. Students will examine the risks associated with information systems using frameworks that provide professional standards, guidelines, tools and techniques for IS audit and control.
