This course builds upon the student's knowledge and experience acquired in the pre-requisite course, 7247BPS Advanced Human Genetics, and extends the student's knowledge and skills into the clinical environment. The causes, dysmorphology, symptoms and diagnosis of genetic disorders will be presented in the context of inherited genetics plus environmental and lifestyle impact on the somatic expression of particular mutations. The clinical assessment of genetic disorders will be described. Related issues in human reproduction and fertility will be included.
