The course is aimed, firstly, at increasing students' understanding of literacy and numeracy theories and exemplary practices for the purpose of developing and delivering a short adult literacy/numeracy program of work in either a workplace or community context. Secondly, it focuses on developing an increased understanding about adult literacy and numeracy learners, their strengths and needs, features of different contexts of learning, curricula and the teaching and learning resources that are available. -- Course Website
