This course focuses on leadership and management within health care systems. Students explore the social forces within health care systems, management theories, leadership theories and the impact of these on the roles of those who are part of that system. Emphasis is on understanding and critiquing core concepts such as organisational structure and culture, organisational change and conflict resolution. Students will be introduced to human resource management skills such as interview techniques, job analysis and performance appraisals. -- Course Website
