This course explores important natural chemical processes and substances. Topics include properties and composition of natural waters, inorganic speciation processes, redox processes, chemical ecology and elemental biogeochemical cycles. To complement the theoretical component of the course, practical work explores analytical techniques of detection and quantification of contamination in the environment.
