This course focuses on conservation in practice. It uses lectures, field visits, case studies, field classes, guest lecturers and field-work to provide an appreciation of the practicalities of conservation and how local communities, management agencies, research institutes (including universities) and NGOs work together to achieve conservation and community benefits. The on-ground field-work will contribute towards collecting the baseline survey data needed to monitor wildlife. This course requires students to integrate the range of knowledge and skills obtained in previous subjects in a practical field context.

Restricted: Approval from the course convenor is required for... -- Course Website
