This course addresses the central problem of organisational analysis for the purpose of management of human resources and design of organisations. It highlights the relationship between the structures and processes of an organisation as a whole, and those of its human resource sub-systems. Drawing on perspectives from the fields of organisation theory, organisation psychology, organisation sociology and corporate strategy, it provides frameworks from which students can form a critical, holistic view of organisational processes and the impact these have on organisation members.
